The Cannes Film Festival has unveiled their poster for this year’s instalment, featuring the one and only Marilyn Monroe.
In its 65th year, the Cannes Film Festival is the world’s most renowned film festival, and is scheduled to run from May 16 – 27, 2012.
Though no films have yet been announced, there’s rumours far and wide that the line-up could include new films by Terrence Malick, Woody Allen, Paul Thomas Anderson, Michael Haneke, Sergio Castellitto, David Cronenberg, Wes Anderson, Xavier Dolan and Walter Salles.
With the new poster now in the public domain, however, it’s a sign that the first few films will be announced within the next few days, with the full line-up following sometime towards the end of March.

Stunning poster. I’m hoping for new films from Malick and Paul Thomas Anderson, personally!

Me too. I’d love to see new films from Haneke and Dolan, too. Oh, and Salles’ On The Road.
