Magnolia Pictures have debuted an official red band trailer and poster for horror anthology and ex-Sundance entry V/H/S, Total Film has uncovered.
Featuring a collection of shorts written and directed by Ti West, Adam Wingard, David Bruckner, Joe Swanberg, Glenn McQuaid and Radio Silence, V/H/S received rave reviews at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it premiered in the Midnight Movies strand.
V/H/S centers on a group of criminals who, after breaking and entering into an abandoned house in a bid to find a rare VHS, they instead stumble upon a hoard of discarded ones, each containing more than they bargained for.
With a cast made up of relative unknowns, including but not limited to Calvin Reeder, Lane Hughes, Hannah Fierman and Mike Donlan, the film promises a bold and pertinent take on the found footage technique of filmmaking that has become all the range.
V/H/S will make its U.K. premiere at the upcoming Edinburgh International Film Festival, which takes place from June 20 – July 1. Meanwhile, it’s scheduled for a limited release in the US on October 5.
