Zooey Deschanel, star of Fox’s hit comedy New Girl, and Domhall Gleeson, known for his role as Bill Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise, have signed on to star in sci-fi dramedy About Time, Variety is reporting.
Written by Richard Curtis (Love Actually), About Time tells of a time traveler, played by Gleeson, who uses his newly-discovered supernatural abilities to change situations for the better.
As for Deschanel, she was being sought for the lead in Fox 2000’s He’s Fucking Perfect, but is thought to have passed on that in favour of this low-key, quirky number. Her role, however, is currently unknown.
The project, spearheaded by U.K. based production company Working Title, is expected to shoot later this year with Curtis assuming the position of director as well as writer.
Further details will likely be announced nearer the time of filming.
