Logan (Zac Efron), a marine on tour in Iraq, discovers a photograph of an unknown woman in the aftermath of an explosion. The picture quickly becomes something of a guardian angel to Logan, protecting him from harm until he finds himself firmly back on home soil. Sally Hawkins In Talks For Woody Allen’s Next Film

Sally Hawkins (Submarine) is in talks to star in Woody Allen’s next, as-yet-untitled film, Variety are reporting.

Hawkins, who picked up a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Mike Leigh’s Happy-Go-Lucky, will play one of the two female leads in Allen’s follow-up to this summer’s To Rome With Love.

EIFF 2012: My Ten Picks

Last year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival was, for all intents and purposes, a complete shambles. Festival director James Mullighan was roped in at the last minute when the search to replace Hannah McGill went sour and the festival had a distinct lack of energy compared to previous years. Whether that was down to the poorly run press department, absurd choice of venues or Mullighan himself is anyone’s guess.

Isabelle Huppert Joins Dead Man Down

Isabelle Huppert (I Heart Huckabees) has landed a supporting role in Dead Man Down, Deadline has revealed.

Huppert, who will next be seen in two Cannes-bound films: Michael Haneke’s Amour (Love) and Hong Sang-Soo’s In Another Country, will star opposite Colin Farrell (Fright Night), Noomi Rapace (Babycall), Dominic Cooper (An Education) and Terrence Howard (Crash) in the crime-thriller.

Think Like A Man topped the US box office for a second week running. Screen Gems’ comedy-drama, starring Kevin Hart and Gabrille Union, pulled in another $18M, bringing its domestic total to a very impressive $60M, almost five times its production budget.

Abandoned on the doorstep of a monastery in Spain, Ambrosio (Vincent Cassel) becomes a devout friar known far and wide for his ethics and traditionalism, much like the Capuchin monks who raised him. However, after suffering a series of terrorising dreams, he becomes entranced by a masked figure who takes shelter in the monastery.
